If you were to look up the word “goofy” in the dictionary, I think there would be a picture of Dexter right there. He is cute and he knows it! At 1 year old, he is just as spunky and energetic as he ever was. This little guy is a smart one too. He figures things out really fast!
Even though Dexter has a very small voice, he likes to use it. During our photo shoots, I get a lot of yawning cat photos. Yawning photos make Dexter look like he is letting out a mighty roar, but it really is more like a tiny squeak. It is adorable! I’m not exactly sure how he does it when he opens his mouth so wide. He’s getting pretty close to having a flip-top head!
When Dexter decides to play with a toy, you know that toy is going to get a beating. He is really rough with his toys! Footballs are some of his favorite toys. He likes the way they bounce on the ground.
What is really funny is that he likes to stop and pose when I have the camera out. It is like he is asking if I got an awesome action photo of him with his toy. He just stops and looks at me for a moment and then carries on with his play time.
Occasionally, Dexter can be difficult to photograph. He moves so fast that I can’t get a sharp image of him in the dull lighting of my apartment. This past week, he had a big case of the zoomies. He was running back and forth all over our apartment chasing a foil ball.
I was trying to get some good photos of Dexter’s romping when he suddenly stopped and sprang up into the air. It was like something invisible scared him out of his wits! Lucky for me, I pressed the capture button at just the right time. Don’t worry, if something had scared him, it didn’t bother him for long because he went right back to chasing the foil ball when he landed. He got some pretty good air here!
