What kitty doesn’t love getting new toys and treats? Manna and Dexter came back from the BlogPaws Conference with a whole lot of swag. The sponsors at the conference were very generous to these 2 cuties. The cats couldn’t wait to get our suitcases open and see what was inside.
You can see what we did at the BlogPaws 2017 Conference by clicking here. There are a ton of photos! This year I was both a speaker and an ambassador for the conference.
Perhaps it is because he is a 1-year-old kitten, but self-control is not Dexter’s strong point. It still hasn’t quite hit him that he has to share the new goodies with Manna (and the kitties at our local rescue). He helped himself to a number of packages of treats while we were still at the hotel! He even ate the cat litter at one of the sponsors’ booths (luckily it was safe for kitties to eat). When we got home, Dexter realized that there was even more swag to play with!
As we started to go through our BlogPaws swag, Dexter randomly stole packages and ran away with them. One might think that this was food motivated, but it wasn’t. At one point he ran off with a doggy pee pad I had picked up for our local rescue to try. Silly kitty! Maybe he just thought it was funny to watch us chase after him.
Some of what Dexter chose out of the suitcases was food. The food packet in the photo below did not survive the attack. Dexter’s fangs proved to be too mighty. Luckily, I was able to grab a dish from the kitchen before the wet food got all over in my carpet. Both Manna and Dexter got to enjoy a little treat.
Don’t feel too bad for Manna. We made sure that she was getting her fair share of the swag. She did a lot of investigating too. Oh, and there is something to be said about karma. These are the same sorts of antics that she used to pull on our angel kitty, Cinco, when he was around. She has started playing the more passive role since Dexter came to live with us.
