Some things never get old! Ever since Dexter came into our family, he has been a mouthy cat. He isn’t a big talker, he just likes to put everything in his mouth. The more he is able to chew something, the more fun that something is for Dexter! At first, I thought it was just a funny kitten quirk, but it’s a characteristic that he has held onto.
Recently, Dexter helped me out with getting some photos of our new Sleepypod mobile pet beds. Sleepypod has sponsored the road trip part of our travel this week. To help get Dexter to pose with the Sleepypod, I threw on of his favorite catnip mice into on of the pet carriers. He enthusiastically jumped in and got that mousie!
That is when all of the biting began. See this face? That’s the bitey time face.
One thing I can say for sure is that the zipper on the Sleepypod and the material it is made of are durable. Dexter gave it a good biting. It wasn’t long before he realized that the biting wasn’t getting him very far and he gave up. He took his catnip mouse with him when he left too.
What is more fun than a box? According to Manna and Dexter, there isn’t much! One of their favorite things about receiving the Sleepypods was that they came in nice, big cardboard boxes. These boxes have made great forts for both of the cats.
Naturally, when I started taking photos of the boxes, Manna and Dexter both rushed in to help. Manna was the first to arrive. She jumped in and hid in the bottom of the box. Then, Dexter came over and jumped into the box on top of her. That is why she is giving him such a dirty look in this photo. Of course, she wasn’t impressed with his cardboard art project either.
Just for the record, the cardboard boxes that the Sleepypod mobile pet beds come in are not bite-proof. Dexter felt the need to test that out so that no one would be left wondering. He says it is a fun box anyway.
