Holy whiskers, BaCat! We’ve got a dramatic superhero kitty in our midst. The dark underworld of cat toys will no longer be running this apartment!
The cats and I are getting ready for our big trip to the BlogPaws Conference in May. One of the many things I need to do to prepare for traveling with the cats is leash train Manna and Dexter. The first part of that training is getting the cats used to wearing their harnesses.
While Manna has had her harness for a while, Dexter still needed to get one. Our original idea was to get Dexter the matching black harness to Manna’s pink harness. However, Dave and I just fell in love with the Batman themed harness we found at the pet store! Batman is my favorite superhero.
I think that Dexter is super cute as BatCat, but he has his own opinion. There is a detachable cape that goes with this harness, but I didn’t attach it for these photos. I’m still making adjustments to the harness to get the right fit.
Cats get quite dramatic when it comes to wearing harnesses! Dexter is no difference. Despite the fact that he makes a great BatCat, he feels just a little silly wearing any kind of clothing. He’s a bit of a nudist. I believe that he thinks if he plays dead, the harness might just leave him alone.
Have no fear, BatCat will be just fine. Dexter is perfectly able to walk if treats are offered and able to play when I put some silvervine on one of his favorite mice. Soon, he will be able to save the day! All I will have to do is shine the red dot in the sky and BatCat will come running. I think that Dexter is going to love the freedom of being able to walk on a leash.
Does your cat like to wear any kind of harness/clothing?
