Manna and Dexter Play with PetCube Play
We have been very excited about trying out the PetCube Play interactive wifi camera! There are a number of reasons why this camera is a great fit for our family. A few of those reasons include:
- Fun laser toy
Dexter has been obsessed with laser toys lately, so this is a great fit for him. He gets really excited when he hears my voice come through the PetCube Play. When the laser comes on, he couldn’t be any happier. Don’t let Manna fool you, she loves lasers too.
- Connection with distant family members
I love that I can introduce my cats to people who can’t necessarily visit them at my home. I have family across the country and in Mexico. PetCube Play gives my family a chance to interact with Manna and Dexter almost like they are here.
Sharing the camera with friends and family is as simple as entering their PetCube smartphone app username in either the “family” or “friends” sections on your account in the app. “Family” members have full access to the camera at any time. “Friends” have access when you grant them permission.
- Easy-to-share photos and videos
The PetCube Play camera catches Manna and Dexter at play more easily than I can with another camera. I don’t have to get the camera on, get in a good position for the shot, and hope the cats don’t stop playing because of my movement. Our PetCube Play camera is already in a great spot to catch the action so I only need to open the app and press record. If I set it up, the PetCube Care cloud service will even record my cats automatically as the camera detects noise or motion. Photos and video can be shared to social media right from the app!
- Checking -in on the cats
When I leave for my trip for my trip to the BlogPaws Conference in May, it will be really nice to be able to just open the PetCube app and see Manna and Dexter. It is hard not to worry about them when I’m away for a few days. My husband loves to check in on the cats during the day while he is at work. He drives a school bus for a special needs children. The kids love seeing our kitties play!
I had some trouble connecting my PetCube Play camera to the smartphone app. The light on the camera wasn’t turning green like the instructions said it would. I contacted PetCube Customer service via email and they got back to me within a couple of hours. Customer service was great! They were very friendly and walked me through the steps I need to take to solve the problem.
Customer service was very patient with me as I had to email them several times. I needed to reset the camera by using a paperclip to press the reset button in the small hole on the bottom of the camera. It turns out that the paperclip I was using at first wasn’t sturdy enough to press the button. A stronger paperclip solved the problem!
