What makes your cat happy in your home? Cats are wonderful companions, but there are a few adaptations needed to help them be mentally and physically healthy living indoors with us. That is why we have taken on Dezi & Roo as an affiliate partner. They carry a number of carefully chosen products that can enrich your cat’s environment and improve your relationship with your cat! We’ve got the details on 3 Dezi & Roo products that we hope you’ll love as much as we do.
Who is Dezi & Roo?
Dezi & Roo is a company created by veterinarian Dr. Lynn Bahr to help improve the lives of pets. Dezi and Roo were two of the pets that she met in her veterinary practice. The company sells products that engage cats and dogs in their natural behaviors and help to solve common problems that exist for households with pets. All of the products are throughout vetted by (and in some cases created by) veterinary professionals.
Dr. Bahr is passionate about cats and loves the topic of enriching cats’ lives. I’ve had the pleasure of emailing back and forth with her. She and her team are very transparent about why they choose the products they do for their shop. If you have any questions about a product or about which products could be helpful for your cat(s), they are always happy to answer them.
Bamboo Breeze Pet Odor Spray
The Bamboo Breeze Pet Odor Spray is great for dealing with litter box odors! The enzyme-based formula to eliminates odors rather than masking them. It has a light, fresh scent, is made in the USA, and comes in a 2.5 oz can.
Our Opinion of the Bamboo Breeze Pet Odor Spray
We have tried a number of odor eliminating products in our home. Living in a tiny 1-bedroom apartment with 2 litter boxes can get quite stinky! This is especially true since the only places we could fit those litter boxes were in our bedroom closet and right inside the front door (Manna chose this location for us). It never fails that one of the cats has to go #2 right when one of us is heading to bed!
This was one of the best pet odor eliminating products that we’ve tried. Just as Dr. Bahr had cautioned me, it does not take much of this spray to eliminate the litter box odors. A short spray does the job and fairly quickly too! The Bamboo Breeze scent is not overpowering and it isn’t perfumy. Even though Dave gets a little crazy with the spraying, I haven’t had that walking-by-a-teenage-boy-that-just-discovered-cologne feeling. Dave would like to see this pet odor spray come in a larger can.
The Wiggly Ball & Wiggly Pong Cat Toys
The Wiggly Ball and the Wiggly Pong cat toys are meant to represent a cat’s natural prey. They consist of a ball and a long fuzzy tail that is infused with catnip. The type of ball is what makes them different. The Wiggly Ball has a small, colorful bouncing ball and the Wiggly Pong larger, white, ping pong style ball that rattles. These can be purchased separately or one of each in a Wiggly Sample Pack!
Manna and Dexter Weigh In On Dezi & Roo
My cats love simple toys. The Wiggly Ball and the Wiggly Pong were a big hit with Manna and Dexter! I knew right when I held these toys in my hands that the cats were going to go crazy for them. They are super light weight and the way the move has a very mouse-like quality.
Manna liked the Wiggly Pong cat toy best. She was totally in love with the catnip-infused tail. This toy was easy for her to toss around. Her favorite way to play with a toy is to grab it with her paws and then she rolls over onto her back and hugs, kicks, and bites the toy. The Wiggly Pong was just perfect for her play style. I think she really liked the rattling too. It was like the toy was responding to her taunts.
Dexter liked both of the cat toys. I think he was more intrigued by the Wiggly Ball, though. He likes to pick toys up and carry them around (especially up into the cat tree). He seemed to really like that it bounced when he dropped it (like it was running away).
I decided since the toy reminded me of a mouse, that I would put the Wiggly Ball in Dexter’s hideaway hole at the top of the cat tree with the tail dangling out. Toys that hide in and under things are a big hit around here. Dexter couldn’t get enough of this game! I tried it with the Wiggly Pong too, which was fun, but the lighter weight made it fall out of the hole a lot easier.
