A breed that’s proudly made in the U.S.A!

Manna laying in front of the couch

My very own Cinco and Manna are considered American Shorthair cats! This is Manna showing off her beautiful tabby markings.

The American Shorthair cat breed was one of the first breeds of cat to be developed in the United States. They are descendants of working cats that were brought over from Europe on ships by early American settlers. American Shorthair cats are still known for their incredible  mousing skills! They have rounder faces with wide-set eyes and strong, muscular bodies much like their British Shorthair cousins. A variety of fur colors and patterns exist within the breed and tabby patterns are common. They are friendly, generally healthy, and great for families with children. It’s no wonder that they are one of the most popular cat breeds out there!
